Things I Love about a Holiday

I love to see the morning light pour in through the windows. I don't get to see this often, because I am always at work.

(Sorry about the crazy angle!)

Flowers are starting to pop up down here in the south, so I'm bringing them in, of course!
I bought these vintage coffee decanters (?) from a local antique store. They work perfect as a vase!

This is my new mushroom. Will hates it. I don't know, I saw it and just thought it would be perfect here. Maybe I am crazy, but I really like it. (Let me clarify, he doesn't "hate" it, he just doesn't understand why I would want it.)

Well, it is a holiday, which means I will be completing a home project (shower curtain)!
Do you have today off? What are your holiday plans?

We moved not too long ago so my day will be spent unpacking and trying to figure out where on earth to put everything! It's a gorgeous day here today, and I'm going to set some time aside for a long walk, too!

I agree with you about the daylight. I always enjoy the weekends because I get to enjoy the pretty daylight that comes into our house at certain times. I definitely have favorite "light" times of the day (I'm glad someone else understands that - ha!). And I think your mushroom has really pretty colors to it - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I'm not off today but I sure wish I was - can't wait to see your shower curtain! What kind of sewing machine do you have?

Funny.. I was just saying that today too. I love seeing the sunlight streaming in. Although, it does show you just how dirty and scratched your floors are! Ha!
Love the mushroom. And a question. Did you paint that gold tray or is it gold leaf?

Isn't it amazing how we can live in a place and never notice something for years? I love the mushroom!
