Give the gift of....

ART!!

Hey friends. I got busy again. Gosh, I hate it when I get pulled away from you guys.
I started my Christmas shopping recently, and let me just say I'm thinking giving art is such a special way to go!
Now I've picked a few that I liked... from chic fashion illustration to quirky animal art.

All of these little babes are from Etsy, but here are the sellers from left to right.

1 2 3 4 5 6

I can't find the sellers for 4 and 5, it's like they just disappeared! If you really like one, just let me know and I'll hunt the artist down.

It's a beautiful world out there...

I love how artists capture what they see and interpret onto canvas. Painting is a passion of mine as well, but I don't get to do it often enough. I have a few of my pieces throughout my home, I believe it adds such a richness when there's artwork in a room.

Just like anything else online, you have to weed through A LOT of artwork to find the gems. I found a few that I thought you all would like from Etsy. If you haven't added original paintings, watercolors, or drawings to your home collection, I would definitely suggest it!

These first four are from the seller, maechevrette.

These two ocean scenes are from the seller, wickstromstudio.

From the seller, MattLeBlancArt

Seller, Jolinaanthony

If you ever feel overwhelmed or don't even know where to start in finding art for your home, just contact me, I would love to help!

New Etsy pillow shop infactuation

Durn, I wish I has some amazing excuse for not blogging the past FIVE days, but I am drawing a blank! I think I have the case of the "in-betweens" like Janell from Isabella and Max Rooms was talking about last week.  I have a few projects up my sleeve at the moment, they should be complete within the next few days, and I am really excited about showing them off! So I have been busy, just not blogging busy. I've been searching around for a lumbar pillow for our couch and came across an amazing etsy shop, Turquoise Tumbleweed, from the little ole' state of South Carolina.
She is my new favorite!

It pays to recycle!

While looking through my Traditional Home magazine I came across some lovely handmade jewelry that was just too good not to share. Palomaria is an etsy shop created by Meilina Szapiro. Melinia makes all her handmade jewelry out of newspaper clay and recycled paper. These would make great Valentine's gifts ladies...so show your husband's this post!

They all average around $30! Have a wonderful Sunday!

From one Etsy lover to another

Hey friends...I came home early today with a serious cold. Sneezing was out of control, my middle school students ACTUALLY asked me if I was okay and brought me some tissue! So I'm cuddled on the couch, with the heat on, Minnie at my feet, and the house is lit with Christmas lights, suddenly I feel ALL BETTER!!

Anyhow...I did a little Etsy searching tonight, and found some great gift ideas...am I the only one that finds it SO hard to not buy two of everything and keep one for yourself?!

Here's the list.....

1. & 2. Blackstar

(For animals and children!!) 3. Kneek
