Color Moods: Burst of color for your January blues

I read somewhere recently about how Turquoise is a good color for winter...not just for spring! I kind of like that..when youre in the midst of this (in my opinion) awful doldrums time of the year, its nice to have a bright color to bring up your spirits.

Trying to find some ways to add it into my home!

So true...turquoise is a wonderfully uplifting color and happens to be my sons favorite color. It was the color of his first bedroom that he remembers and I think it has just stuck with him because we moved and he hasn't seen that room in over 4 years. I painted it turquoise because it was so cheerful and because of his obsession with sea life at the time, his shark posters fit so well into the space and you felt like you were under the sea...it was lovely! Great post by the way and awesome interiors that I haven't seen before!

Or for any season really. Refreshing in summer, a sense of excitement in spring, warming and colourful in a bleak winter and a wonderful contrast against the rusty reds of autumn leaves. No wonder it is always such a favourite!

Beautiful!! In NZ we often use shades of turquoise in summer as an alternative to powder blue for that beachy, nautical feel, but I love how you have shown it here in the complete opposite season. I must say, I think my favourite is on the kitchen ceiling and the glorious regal wallpaper (But thats because I love my ruby red Kitchen aid!). Nice one. :)
