Iffy topic: Animal Art

This is a post for people that enjoy looking at beautiful art that just so happens to feature..animals. Now I'm from the country and I drive by many many cows every morning, and I've been thinking lately about cow paintings. I have not been a fan of "animal art" since I was little and visited a lady's house that had a kitchen with a cow motif. I knew at 15 years old that it just wasn't my thing! But my heart has softened and I am kind of liking animal art (There's a BIG difference between animal art and an entire room focused on an animal motif). Now hear me out, you can do it in a tasteful way. Here are some examples....

I want these for a nursery! Sharon Montrose is an amazing photographer!

How are you feeling about this type of art in a home? Not for you?

Oh yes - there is a lot of great animal art out there. Having a "chicken room" replete with chicken wire wallpaper might be a bit much but having somer charlie harper prints or some of these amazing birds that I blogged about (http://www.nesteaglerock.com/2010/08/animals.html )are definitely a great addition!

a little goes a long way! i have a photo in my inspiration folder, that is saved for a project in the future. a lovely blown up photo of a horse, similar to the ones you've shared. it's such a bold statement, and captures my client's passion in the most perfect way. i believe that any art can be perfect, for the right person.. even animal art!
