Color Punch

I'm all about a punch of color. That's why I am so in love with the colors in Sally Benedict's  artwork. The colors are bold, but perfectly balanced. They can easily be incorporated into a small space, like a powder room, book shelf, vignettes, or a sprinkling of pillows.

These colors remind me of this....yum!

Love's from the week

Loved this house from Design Sponge! This is interior designer's Amie Weitzman's house. I am so impressed with the ornate stairway railing and the entry way. Can you see my theme for this week?

Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for the sweet comments on my kitchen!!!

My new gray walls

My kitchen has a new coat of lovely gray paint. The color truly freshened the look of the space. For those of you that weren't around for the kitchen reno, let me show you what we were working with originally.

Mmm.. good times.

We were so happy with the results, but I felt the color was wrong, and it took me a whole year to get around to changing it.

And after....

To me, the deep orange in the dining room balances so much better with the gray than with the yellow.

You can't tell, but she LOVES the new color!

Twin Inpsiration

I'm busy in the kitchen this morning... the gray I bought was too blue, so I had to start over. Two words of advice to those of you thinking about painting a room, always get a second opinion on a color choice, and always get a sample can first!

The last room in the house that I haven't even touched has two windows on one wall, and I have twin beds..I'm thinking this would be a GREAT look for that room! Perfect for a guest room.

I'm going gray! (Color Moods)

After a year of obsessing over this fabulous color I'm finally going to use it in my home! Around this time last year we did a huge kitchen makeover, and the kitchen was painted yellow. I love the color but it seemed too "country", not that it's a bad thing, it's just not me. I love to see crisp clean gray rooms, especially in kitchens and baths.

So I'm off to get started! Excited to show you the results.
